The most important part of the chapters, in my opinion, was the scene of Adam and The Four Horseman of the Apocalypse in Tadfield airbase, specifically when Adam rejected The Horseman and decided that he doesn't want the world to end, because he realized he already has all the world he wants. Needless to say that it wouldn't have happened if Adam's friends didn't pursuade him. I suppose that this part really shows the impact of the environment and people close to you to your beliefs.

I found resonant the lines that the choir sang about Jesus. Maybe it is not so much about religion for me, even though I believe in Jesus, but in these lines more about karma. Lately I have been exploring, how karma works in depth, and I truly believe in this philosophy.

In these lines, as I interpret it, the main idea is that nobody gets through life without working the karma out and everyone gets the deserved. In my opinion, life becomes easier, when knowing these rules, and if you really live by them it gets better. It is even more interesting to learn in depth how karma works, for instance, in family, romantic relationships, illnesses, even in horoscopes and more spheres. I would also like to understand these life rules from Bible’s perspective, but this requires a special indulgence.

Even though in the end I understood the unfolding of events and whole book’s idea, I have to admit that it wasn't easy to read at all. The book is written very untraditionally - there are a lot “in between scenes” and a lot is happening at once from different perspectives, so you really need to have a good memory to follow along with everything. As I read the book it reminded me of a film with a lot of scenes, this book is meant for screens. I also watched the series and it really helped to get a visual representation and summed everything up for me. But, in general, I enjoyed the story.

I don’t have any questions about the plot, but if I had the chance to meet authors of Good Omens, I would like to ask where did all the ideas came from and if there is any particular reason why they chose a story like that. I would also like to better understand the symbolism behind the book, because it is very detailed and that would help to understand the book extensively.

My personal views haven’t really changed, but maybe approved. I think, the book’s main idea is truly smart. I agree to the following ideas:

The two natures of human and that humans can be more evil than demons (quote: "And on the other hand you got people like Ligur and Hastur, who took such dark delight in unpleasantness you might even have mistaken them for human.").

One person can change a lot and really make a positive impact.

There does not need to be a war between heaven and hell, the good and the bad, because there would be no point of the good, if there wasn't the bad, we simply would not know the good without the bad (quote: “Death: "I am creations shadow. You cannot destroy me, that would destroy the world." ”).

Family and friends are our guides.

The world end or humanity end is dependent on people and how we choose to live our lives - how much pollution we make, what are the relationships between the countries etc.

The title - "Good Omens" is definitely proper for the book. It actually confirms in the very beginning when Crawley misplaces the babies. My suspicions that the Antichrist will grow up to be a “normal” child also confirmed. And it all ends with Crawley and Aziraphale staying alive because they had switched their bodies, which is also a good sign and good ending. The ending also left me think if there could be another book, because they both are saying that this is not the end, the both sides still want war and will find about their little tricks.

I would actually recommend the book, although it is not the typical genre I like to read, but books like this is also useful to read, in that way widening your imagination. I found the book special because of the perfect combination between imagination, philosophy, humour and a bit of religion. It may seem a lot, but really the story by itself is light.
