By providing real world examples, such as case studies, multicultural perspectives can be successfully incorporated in students learning. Identifying relevant case studies can help students understand the importance they have in literature and historical events. This can be applied in an educational setting to enhance students cultural understanding (Singhal & Gulati, 2020). They can also promote critical thinking as students can examine real world case studies and understand the impact they have had on culture. By choosing a case study that is relevant to the lesson, students can discuss its importances and effect it had on the topic.

By teaching with this method teachers are able to enhance their students learning through cultural knowledge. It makes students feel valued and seen regardless of their cultures. Furthermore it can utilize students differences by making the learning processes more personable for each student. They are able to feel seen, respected , welcomed, and accepted within the classroom (Guido, 2017). This method creates a safe environment for students and teachers to explore and utilize culture for their knowledge.A teacher can ask a question about something students families do at home. From there, this method can be used with the information given from the discussion.

It is a short worksheet where they will fill out information about themselves (FREE All about Me Poster & Printable Worksheet, 2018). This creates an outline for teachers to adapt their teaching for the needs of their students. It also shows what may be influencing a student's learning and how they learn.

Offering choices is a method that can be used to utilize students' cultural backgrounds in teaching and the learning processes. By offering them a choice, they can demonstrate their understanding of the content in their own personalized way. This can be done by asking them if they would rather create a presentation, project , or paper to share their cultural background (Guido, 2017). It creates a way for both the student and teacher to play part in the lesson. They are able to express themselves in the learning process while still completing the task or assignment.

This can be done through modeling and discussing with students words we say and don't say (Finch, 2024). This way they are aware of what may be offensive and what is respectful. Furthermore, because each student and their culture is different, this strategy allows students to learn how to respect one another.
