Hello, everyone! My name is Luz Dueñes, though I prefer to be called Luz. I’ve always thought it’s a beautiful name.

I consider myself an extrovert, someone who can talk quite a lot… sometimes too much, so feel free to stop me if I get carried away.

Since I started this degree, I’ve been falling in love with it more and more each semester.

Everything about language, its richness, diversity, evolution, and the impact it has on our daily lives, feels truly fascinating to me, almost magical.

I think Im' obsessed with mugs, they are my unnecessary pleasure, my totally yes when I'm at Waldo's, because in my mind mugs means coffee and I really enjoy the taste of coffee.

I love the quality time and physical touch with the people I love; my friends, my beautiful boyfriend and my mom. <3

I'm in love with bakery and my boyfriend is studying the major of Gastronomy to become a baker, and I'm in live with he's creations, I looOOVee his pastry.

last but not least I love, truly, madly, deeply I love Harry Potter, music and The Hunger Games.

When I was 16 years old, I realize that had no idea what to study (Nowadays I understand that, in that moment, it was totally normal because I was a child, and I thank the lord I had this reflection) the day I have to decide what's supose to dedicate my life. So, in that time, my dad told me that if ever have a doubt about what should I do with my life, that the better answer was in something that I'm good at it and something that I also love, and after discuss myself between been a linguist or a nurse, I decided that I'll study first languages, and then nursing, because I want to help people to those who speak a language other than my own, and not only to communicate but also to make their health as optimal as possible, nursing would be my backbone while languages would be my heart, my decision was decided on: why not work on both? I know I can and I will do it, because my heart told me so.
