         <description><![CDATA[<div>I have been in a change agent leadership experience that involved transitioning a Surgical IMC to a Surgical ICU.&nbsp; As a result, I found that building relationships with those involved and remaining transparent about the plan and vision was imperative.&nbsp; I hope to be able to continue to use this skill set and remain connected to those involved in the change to allow personal growth and reflection.&nbsp; I have found that often times, people participate in change, when in fact they really want out but don't know how to express it without feeling like they are failing.&nbsp; I want to help empower this group to be able to be honest and make decisions that are best for them and not just participate as a requirement.<br><br>Tim<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Change agents help facilitate ways of doing things. What I have learned about effective change agents is the characteristics that I believe make up a substantial change agent. These characteristics are being patient however persistent at the same time, having a clear vision, using your knowledge in the respected field and leading my example and building relationships with a foundation of trust.&nbsp;<br>When I first came into my current position, I was "labeled" as a leader. That being said, none of my team knew who I was. I worked very hard to open my self, which included being vulnerable. Through this process and using the characteristics of a effective change agent,  trust was built. Once I gained trust, I believe it was easier to guide and inspire my team. we now collaborate as a whole and have worked well together for many years.&nbsp;<br><br>When I started thinking of what type of change agent I am, I came across this quiz online (linked). I think it's very interesting. Ten quick questions and the results are pretty accurate.<br>My Results - CHANGE MAKER<br>"You know how to take an idea and bring it to life. You are the go -to person to figure out how to make things happen. You are also great at breaking down strategy into a workable plan, distribute tasks and draw up the timeline.<br><br></div><div>Your organization will leverage your skills best by assigning you to projects that demand careful planning or for experimental projects where you can help figure out how to make something happen for the first time.<br><br></div><div>Tip: Work closely with those who can help you sell your idea to management and get the budget. Seek out other change innovators with great ideas to help them figure out how to bring them to life.</div><div><br>Jillian &nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <title>Effective change agents influence through sharing  a vision and pushing for individuals to take steps torward working to change.  Change agents may not be someone who is in leadership roles but someone who is respected by peers had influnce.  I am a change agent who either is an enabler or preventor.  I have to fully believe in a vision before I can become an agent.  When I do believe in a vision I influence those around me first with the relationships that I have built.  Then I try to answer any questions.  At times I may answer the same questions at multiple times because it takes a while for others to accept change.  I like to have others decide to change and not force change upon others.</title>
