They ensure the safety of the consumers by using chemistry to test the food microbiological composition and analyze and evaluate the food with food monitoring. <br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I am interested in this field because I love to eat food, and I’ve always wondered how much work they have to put into testing the food in order to let the consumers eat it. I found out that this job existed by researching about jobs related to chemistry and food. I do not know anyone who is in this field, but it would be cool to research on the foods that I like to eat.

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This job requires food chemist to work in a laboratory, or sometimes they have to visit farms and factories to gather evidence and information for their lab. They also do research on their findings- such as the analysis of reactions of the foods, microbiology research of the components, evaluate the food’s processing bacterial growth and such. They give their findings to the food company that they are researching for.

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Dr. Harvey Wiley was a food chemist during the 1900s, he was a food activist who promoted the food and drug act. The act is important because it is one of the reason why the FDA was established. He contributed largely to food processing because he used chemistry to find out how dirty the factory environments were during the industrialization period. Dr. Harvey Wiley also exposed the harms of many drugs, especially tobacco.
