         <description><![CDATA[<div>Connecticut- Resolved conflict between big and small states by developing a two- house legislature. Big states get more representatives than small states but equal senators.<br>3/5's Compromise-&nbsp; Southern states wanted to gain political representation by counting their slaves as a part of their population but Northerners didn't want to count slaves at all because they were considered property but the southerners wanted to count the slaves as a whole. They then decided to count three fifths of every slave.<br>Commerce and Slave Trade- Kenzie restricted the number of slaves and taxation to 3/5 the total number of slaves and prohibited congress from outlawing slavery. This compromise allowed the slave trade to continue for 20 years.&nbsp;<br>commerce and slave trade- (trinity) conflict- the north wanted congress to have the power to regulate the buying and selling of slaves. While the south feared that congress would use their authority to stop the act of slave trade.<br>solution- in order to get the south to agree Congress said that they wouldn't stop the act of selling slaves for 20 years, but put taxes on imported slaves.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Connecticut Compromise-<br>Garret<br>Conflict- They government couldn't decide between Virginia plan and new jersey plan for what form government they wanted.&nbsp;<br><br>Solution- They took both of the plans and made a plan to there likings.&nbsp; To show equal representation. &nbsp;<br><br>Isiac<br>3/5 compromise&nbsp;<br>Conflict- The constitutional conventions agreement to count three-fifths of a states slaves as population for purposes of representation&nbsp; and taxation&nbsp;<br><br><br>Solution- the issue of counting slaves towards population in regards to representation in the house of representatives.<br>Brody<br>Commerce and Slave Trade Compromise<br>Conflict-Forbidding congress the power to tax the export goods from any state&nbsp;<br><br><br>Solution- in order to get the south to agree congress said that they wouldn't stop the act of selling slaves for 20 years. <br>&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Connecticut Compromise:<br>1. Conflict - The Constitutional Convention people couldn't decide between the Virginia and New Jersey plans for a form of gov't.<br>2. Solution - Took parts from both plans and put in into the Connecticut Compromise, giving equal representation, bicameral house, and three branches, thereby pleasing the colonies.<br><br>3/5ths Compromise:<br>1. Conflict - Southern slave owners wanted slaves counted for the purpose of representation and taxation<br>2. Solution - The compromise was that every 5 enslaved people counted as 3 in the states population<br><br>Commerce and Slave Trade Compromise:<br>1. Conflict - north wanted congress to regulate and tax foreign importing and exporting while the south was against that<br>2: Solution - Congress regulated foreign importing but not exporting</div>]]></description>
