         <description><![CDATA[<div>John D Rockefeller was born on July 8,1839 and died on May 23, 1937. He was the founder of Standard Oil Company, and became one of the wealthiest men and major philanthropist.&nbsp; John D Rockefeller built his Standard Oil Company in Ohio. BY 1880, his company controlled 90% of the industry. He bought out competitors and was able to raise prices far above normal levels. Critics began to call businessmen like Rockefeller "Robber Barons." Andrew Carnegie was one of the first Businessmen to gain fortune during industrialization. He made his fortune in the steal industry. By 1899, the Carnegie steel company made more steel than Britain.
