The reason I opted not to go down this route however is due to being colorblind.

The last thing you learned:
Today, I learned how to play Roblox! After serving in the USCG for 13 years, I was fortunate enough to be selected into a higher education program targeting human performance technology and related studies. I'm starting my first online semester at IU seeking a MSEd in IST. Professional follow-on assignments will include a position at either one of the USCG Training Centers, our Force Readiness Command conducting analysis of workforce performance gaps, or even possibly developing e-learning & instructional design. It’s all certainly exciting!

An interesting fact about me is that even though I am attending IU and pursuing a "secondary" career path within IST and the USCG. For the past 13 years my primary career specialty has been as an Afloat Officer, where I have served in numerous roles working at sea aboard USCG ships navigating through the Southern Pacific Ocean, Caribbean Sea, Gulf of Mexico and the eastern U.S. enforcing federal laws and treaties.

Looking forward to meeting everyone and go Hoosiers!

I emptied my IU office at the end of 2021. Took 35 suitcases of books and papers to the Bloomington Recycling center and a few things to Goodwill.

What do I do when not working: You have to remember that I worked every day since December 2, 2019 until this summer when I visited my relatives and took a few days off. That is 1,300+ days in a row. Well my hobbies are running (1,255 days in a row as of today...Forrest Gump was toast on June 5th)...and listening to audio books and traveling. My nickname was TravelinEdMan b4 the pandemic.
