I reviewed (8) articles

1. US denied visas to Palestinian Authority leaders at UN General Assembly

2. Chelsea signs Garnacho from Man Utd

3. US deploying warships near Venezuela

4. Yemen’s Houthis confirmed the death of their leader in Israeli strike

5. Protest fire kills three people in Indonesia

6. Ukrainian political leader was assassinated

7. PSG won easily against Toulouse

8. US warship video near Venezuela

Some of the things I noticed:

• Audience: It feels like they write for an international audience, anyone around the world who wants news updates.

• Tone: Fairly neutral tone, more "reported" than opinionated writing.

• News choice: A wide variety of news choices; politics, conflicts, protests, but also sports. So it has a healthy mix of news stories rather than just heavy news.

• Pictures: The pictures feel balanced - protests, leaders, football, nothing too disturbing in their pictures.

• Words: The headlines sound clear and straight, not overly dramatized.

I reviewed (8) articles:

1. Iran rejects talks under pressure, backs Russia-China proposal

2. Greta Thunberg backs Gaza aid flotilla

3. China has control over market share of most of Iran's trade

4. Iran's National Security Council appoints new deputy

5. IRGC arrests terrorists linked to Mossad

6. Hardly any 'lighter' news.

• Pictures: Mostly officials, military, and political meetings.

• Words: The headlines sound more dramatic

Comparison

• France 24 has a broader range of topics (politics, sports, culture), while Press TV only really covers politics and security.

• France 24 is much more neutral, whereas Press TV has a definitive point of view (anti-Western, pro-Iran).

• France 24's headlines are more calm, while Press TV's are sharper, emotional and more urgent.

• France 24 make an effort to talk to a global, general audience. Press TV seems to be speaking to people who already support their side.

Conclusion

France 24 feels like a news channel that is attempting to be balance and report to an international audience.

Press TV feels more like a news channel that is defending Iran's perspective and giving the world its side of the story.
