But what I am enjoying this year is the more engaging the bellringer. The more engaging the lesson seems to be. It could be used to revise/edit each other's work, offer advice on a sentence/paragraph, talk about a character in a novel, or just get to know one another! The Timekeeper is usually the teacher, and students usually choose who they want to meet. After each interview, students shake hands, sign the person's clock for accountability purposes, and rotate to a different area in the classroom. The Clock exercise produces four different point-of-views that the student then uses to make changes to a document or further knowledge in some English topic.
