I believe that it has impacted our friendships and relationships negatively, because we always want to be the person that has good feed on our profile and that is not the way it should be. We think that people hate what we posted all because they didn't hit the like button. It makes us feel like now that post is worthless and it doesn't deserve stay on our profile. And that's just because someone or some people didn't like it.

Although technology can help keep us in touch and communicate effortlessly, I believe that technology does more harm than good to our friendships. I believe that social media brings a lot of pressure to post the right things to get validation from people. In the end it can be stressful, even though it is supposed to be a way to allow us to connect. Friends are also spending a ton of time on devices when they are together. If you are trying to have a conversation it can be frustrating. When everyone is on a device it can seem like they don't care about what you have to say. Also, when people are doing activities with their friends like bowling, most of the time everyone is on their phones. I feel it can interfere with everyone having a good time. For me personally, I remember the times when me and my friends were hanging out in person, rather than when people are on their phones. Furthermore, at the end of the day technology can do more harm than good in our social life.

Although in recent years, society feels more connected than ever due to social media, I think that technology gives us the false idea that our friendships are positively impacted. Social media has helped us stay connected with others by posting picture and videos of ourselves and our lives. This may make us feel more connected but in reality it is drawing us apart. The urge to post something on social media, often makes us miss out on social interaction and can harm relationships. Even when spending time with friends, it is likely that instead of talking with them, you are on your phone scrolling through social media. I have been in this scenario with my friends, where we do not know what to do so we just look at our phone instead of doing something. Overall, I think that technology is doing more harm than benefit to our freindships.

Technology has influenced today's world in so many different ways for good, and for bad. We can now catch up with friends and family by the push of a button. Essentially, we have the world at our fingertips. While this is good, it can also be very bad. Real friendships are not formed through social media. The pressure of looking cool, and doing the right things distract us from forming real friendships, and developing better relationships. Although it is a huge advantage to be able to talk to people online, it is tearing our social lives apart. In the end, social media and technology have benefits to them, but they are keeping us from forming real friendships that don't come from a phone.

Technology has negatively impacted our friendships and relationships for a long time. I believe technology brings us closer and sets us apart. When I personally hang out with friends we are on our phones maybe half of the time. Online texting you do not get to see someone's emotion which can break down friendships fast. On the other hand technology brings us together by facetiming our friends and asking them to hang out, or facetiming people you having seen in a long time like your grandparents. Overall technology impacts us positively and negatively.

Technology has impacted our friendships, but in different ways. One negative impact is that it does mean that people are on their phones more, but being on things like our phones can help us connect. Connecting from our phones can help us talk from far distances, but may impact the short distance in-person talks everybody used to have. I personally think its has helped and hurt friendships. I think that because I can talk to my family in California in a few seconds, but being in-person with people is less common. In the end, Technology has helped and hurt friendships.

There's nothing special on our phones. All that's on there is social media and posts but that's what makes you so addicted to it! But it you look into reality these people that you love will not be here forever and wasting all your time on our phone will just make you realize you should have spent more time with your loved ones!

I also think that it is ruining our friendships because you can get mad at someone so easily and get into a fight with them so easily about social media that it can ruin your friendships!

Technology has impacted my life so much, Honestly I would not be close with my friends I have today, but there are some impacts that can change friendships and relationships, sometimes toxic friendships happen and that's why sometimes its not good to be so connected to your phone. You have to connected with people in person too. I know sometimes you want to be caught up on all the new information, but its not all true what you see online.

From the day that technology has been created most of the population has been addicted to it. People have been so caught up on posting on social media, and looking at other peoples lives. I agree that technology has some positives but lets face it, there are so many more cons than pros. One of them being the average person spends about three hours on there devices! Not including video games, which would add even more time. Humans in general aren't going outside as much as they should be because they are on there phones. Being on your a device tends to make you more lazy, becoming lazier means you don't get outside as much as you need to. That could lead to health problems. As a community I believe we should spend more time with one another in person, than on our phones.

Technology, over the years has shown a great impact on the people around us, From needing it for work to now needing it for in school learning and activities. We constantly turn to technology for simple tasks such as a GPS or the need for inspiration. More often than not, Young adults who use technology use it incorrectly or become attached to social media making them feel the need of validation or a liking from their peers. This creates tension between people in real life or online. Many people use social media to communicate or share their lives with others, and many people that view their life create opinions about things they are not fully educated on. The constant opinions from others often has many people questioning themselves on things that they should be confident in. Making their self esteem low, allowing them to overthink, guiding them into feelings that would have never been created without social media, etc. But with all the cons technology has, it allows us to preform better in our communities with such things as a Calendar or Alarm, etc. helping the people who use technology improve their lives.

I think that technology is killing our friendships because we are not hanging out with people in person as much. Technology can pull people apart in this way by others not wanting to see our friends because we talk to them through our phones. I think technology can also kill our friendships with others because of online bullying and having friends that are toxic and a waste of time on our friend page. We nee to hang out in person more often so they we learn how to communicate with others better. Many kids around the world have a hard time communicating in person because they just don't even know how to start. We also grow deeper friendships and memories with other people in person other than saving texts on a screen. People are also just getting lazy because they are not doing physical activity like going to meet in person.

My extended family lives no where near Colorado therefore I can only keep up with them through texting, photos, videos, and social media. It's so much easier for me to send them a photo and a text than to take the photo, get it printed, and write a full letter (because otherwise writing something simple would be a waste of postage) just to give them some insight on my life. I also have an easier time keeping up with friends. I enjoy sharing and I'm easily able to do that by sending them a video explaining my last endeavor.

There haven't been super negative effects however I do think that a lot of people get too easily caught up in social media to the point where they alienate themselves from the rest of the world and forget about reality.

In my opinion, technology is impacting my relationships and friendships in a positive way. I have many family members and friends that live far away, so I cannot always talk to them. But, using technology, I can communicate with them super quickly and easily. However, I do think that technology can be very negative and impact relationships in a bad way. For example, some people spend all their time on their phones, instead of spending time interacting with friends and family. Overall, I think that technology can have a positive impact or a negative impact on relationships and friendships.

Technology has played a huge part in all of our lives. That being said, we've all been impacted by technology. Yes, we can keep in contact with our friends, give people nice feedback in the comments, and share what's going on in our own lives. But what if we don't get positive feedback? What if we get hacked, or what if we get hate comments? Tech has been a wonderful tool for many things, but it can also destroy much of what we have built, and destroy the foundations we worked so hard to form. I have been affected by technology positively, but I'll allow you to make your own choice. Is it actually affecting you positively or are you just telling yourself that?

Technology has negatively impacted our friendships by making us become consumed on the internet and apps that are not necessary for us to be using. It can be helpful in some ways, but it can be controlling, addictive and can make us have some doubts about ourselves and others. It can give you self esteem issues and can make you think things about yourself if you don't get a certain amount of likes or hearts or a good comment. It can reach out to people that we know while yet it makes us become more and more lonely. We get a feeling of consumption and we get a compelling feeling. We don't need to use it, yet people are using it for everything that they do.It makes us keep apart from the friends that we have. We tell ourselves that we can just call or text them, but this just makes it more reliant. We are spending time with our phones instead of our friends.

Technology can be addictive and controlling and it can make use feel bad about ourselves and others. I know It can help us connect with people from all around the world including family and friends, but it can make us feel alone. We spend our time on phones instead of time interacting with real people, right in front of us. Social Media can cause self esteem issues and make us feel negatively about ourselves, comparing ourselves to others, not getting lots of likes or comments. We get consumed in in it and it is not healthy. Do we really need it for some of the things we are using it for? We are spending time on our phones and not our friends.

Technology can be addictive to the mind because it helps stimulate your emotions about being lonely. This can cause no friendships at all because of its persuasive powers to watch it and not met people. It also side tracks from real life friends instead of friends online which you don't know them. In conclusion, technology is hurting ourselves and others from not having true friends.

I think that Technology is tearing friendships, and our lives apart. Kids and teens are spending so much time on screens, that they miss things right in front of them. Also texting with your friends is not the same as having a real conversation. Having a real conversation helps you learn something about the person you are talking to. It also helps people figure out the emotions of that person. When you are texting someone, that person can just text an emoji and say they’re happy, but they can easily lie over text. So, in conclusion, technology is tearing us apart as a community.

Social media keeps kids from having any social life and interaction with friends.

Technology is killing our friendships because it is so addicting. We need to be better. So many people are addicted to their electronics, that we don't fully realise what is going on around us. Technology is so bad that it manipulates our minds into thinking that we need it because our friends might get hurt, or someone that we didn't even know died. It is tearing us apart, calling for us to use it. And just because you have a few online friends doesn't mean you actually know who or what they are. Yeah you might have photo proof. But you don't know what actually happens in their lives. You don't know if they do drugs, or if they hurt people for no actual reason. Technology has had such a big impact that we regularly use abbreviations to tell people what we are doing, because we are too lazy to type it out completely. Technology is ripping us apart. NOT bringing us together.

Technology has been negatively impacting our friendships. Most teenagers spend 44 hours a week on electronics and it is probably more because of COVID-19. As you saw in one of the videos people were completely ignoring the people they were with. Social Media gets people used to not having real-world social interaction. It may not seem bad to the person that is addicted to electronics, but for the people around them, it is bad. I think they will become depressed at some point, they might start doing drugs, and/or they might get to the point that they want to kill themselves. This is some of the evidence that technology is negatively affecting our friendships.

I believe that technology is killing and rebuilding friendships. The idea of technology rebuilding our friendships is hard for a lot of people to take in, because we(teens), are always on our phones doing "nothing productive" but in reality, we could be gaining friends, as well as losing them. The first thing I do when I get home from school, is get on my phone and scroll through TikTok, I think that i'll scroll for a couple minutes, then a couple of minutes turn into a couple of hours. When this domino effect rains down on us, we tend to let it. We look at the clock and realize that its been an hour or two and we keep scrolling because we have "nothing else better to do," but in reality, we could be gaining friends, as well as keeping friends. We tend to rather be on our phones rather than be with our friends which is a terrifying topic to think about, because we need friends way more than a like on social media. A lot of us don't understand this until it's too late, until our friends and family can't wait on us anymore and decide to live their lives not counting on ours. So as you can see technology can definitely kill our friendships.
