         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Romans Empire stayed very close along the river using it as a settlement spot. Anyone outside of this area was consider "wild" to the Romans. The Romans also used the river as their major transport rout. <br>During World War 1 the river was used as a border between France and Germany. In World War 2 the Germans used the river as a bored against allied troops.  </div>]]></description>

The Germans  helped prove that when they used it to transport products from Cologne to Koblenz. The river also came in handy for the French and Germans using it as a border.</div>]]></description>
