(d) Well, there has been one year since I have come to HK and my Cantonese has improved a lot. Can you provide any tips of learning Cantonese btw?

Honestly, I’m interested in the positions from a wide range of industries. But being an accounting and finance student, I’m more interested in the position of corporate finance advisory. It’s fantastic if I can contribute in this role by applying the financial statement knowledge and data analytical skills. I’d love to research on the background of the companies which clients invested in and generate an optimistic portfolio for them. So, that’s why I want to enter the finance sector.

Are you guys also interested in finance, or perhaps administration or marketing? How about you, (Student B’s name)?

Well, there are obviously many skills required in the financial sector. So it’s definitely right that you can learn a lot from the tasks. If I can choose, I would actually be more interested in the marketing sector. Although the technical skills it requires may be different from that in finance, I can still learn many soft skills. For example, publishing an advertisement requires efforts of communication and understanding of clients’ needs. Also, the projects are combinations of teamwork. It would be fascinating if I can learn more people skills from marketing.

Yeah, so how about you, (Student C’s name)? Are there any industries that you are interested in, and what are the skills required?

Q: What do you hope to gain in this New Zealand exchange program?

Ans: I treasure the chance to join this program, I hope to expand my insight through the study journey in New Zealand. New Zealand is a good place to study while travelling. There are lots of stunning spots to explore like Mount Tarawera, Urupukapuka Island and, etc. I believe that I could gain fruitful experience in the trip. Is there any other things you would like to gain in the trip?

Ans: yes, absolutely! I’m also willing to meet nice friends in New Zealand. New Zealand is a fresh place with wide variety of culture here. It could be nice to meet new friends there, New Zealander are so friendly and smart! I would like to share my Chinese culture to them too. And that’s why I cherish the chance to study in New Zealand.

honestly,I am not quiet sure about this. I haven’t completely my research on all different job position in civil service bureau. Now I have heard from others that public transportation position is on the rise, so I hope I can take part in this position and I did read a lot of professional newspaper and article about this area. So, what type of skills that you can provide in this job position? If you successfully get the job offer?

I think it is a good chance for me to apply my knowledge and skills which learnt from my past 4 years. Also I may gain more real-life working experience and practical skills rather than only learning from the books.

What kind of skill would you want to gain after working here?

To be honest, problem solving skill is definitely the skills that I want to improve.For example, when there is a problem, how can I deal with the problem under a totally new and different structure and how to handle the problems with my colleagues.

Absolutely. The civil service bureau is currently working on several key initiatives related to economic development and sustainability. It's an exciting time to be part of these efforts and make a positive impact on the community.

I am interested in the fashion industry. I would like to work as a fashion buyer. I've always been interested in fashion, even as a young child, because this is a great way to express my personality. I remember shopping with my grandmother to pick out the most fabulous fashion accessories and I will cherish these memories forever. As a fashion buyer is responsible for selecting and purchasing the merchandise for a retail store or a fashion brand, this involves market trend and data analysis skills which I possess and be applied to my work. For example, I worked at a company last summer examining sales patterns, expenses reports, and expense line items to detect any anomalies or opportunities for improvement. This sharpened my analytical skills. It would be great, if I have a chance to work in this position where I can utilized my passion and skills for the company.

Segue question: Are you guys interested in the fashion industry, or perhaps other industries or job opportunities?

Reply: Of course! I am also fascinated by the fashion industry. Being a fashion buyer is quite interesting. For me, however, I want to be a fashion designer in the fashion industry. When I was in secondary school, I always helped our class to design class jackets and shirts. My design was also chosen during my last year in secondary school because it was simple but stylish. I created a classic polo shirt with a solid navy color and an A-line skirt in black. This has intrigued me to become a fashion designer, shaping how others dress and applying my creativity, design and art skills.

b.The reason why i want to attend this exchange program to study in Canada is because Canada is a pluralistic country and it has many different cultures. I can broaden my horizon and learn different knowledges.
