I love the water

Swimming has always been one of my favorite hobbies and forms of exercise. I grew up swimming from a young age and still enjoy doing it as an adult. Not only is it a great low-impact workout, But it makes me feel free and relaxed. It is almost an escape from reality when I'm in the water.

I am a mother

My 5-year-old is my whole world. She has shown me what it means to be gracious, patient, and kind. Motherhood has changed me in many ways but most of all it has made me learn that you can love someone more with each passing day.

Healthcare is my career

When I was a kid, I always had a fascination for doctors. I thought it was so interesting and admired that they dedicated their lives to helping others. As I got older, I realized I didn't want to be a nurse or doctor myself, but wanted to stay tied to the healthcare field. I currently work alongside medical directors and plan to continue my education to become a medical coder and auditor.

Family/Ethnicity

I come from a large family on both sides. My maternal family is primarily Dutch, German, and Irish. My paternal family is Indian, and Swedish. While I haven't had the chance to do one of those DNA blood tests, it's safe to say I come from a very mixed heritage.

Religion

While I don't identify with one specific religion, I have always had faith and do believe in a higher power. Growing up with my family having different faith beliefs has made me question religion. I don't think that if you do certain acts or live your life a certain way, you will suffer eternal punishment. I have always believed you should do your best to be a good person, and karma will be on your side.
