Gender roles in society means how we're expected to act, speak, dress, groom, and conduct ourselves based upon our assigned sex. For example, girls and women are generally expected to dress in typically feminine ways and be polite, accommodating, and nurturing.

Currently there is no salary gap in terms of remuneration for hours worked, since according to the Ministry of Labor and Social Prevention, men work more hours than women in many work areas, likewise, the best paid careers are mostly occupied by men . For this reason, it can be affirmed that there is no significant wage gap in Mexico, however, the objectification of women is a social problem that has not yet been eradicated, since the historical context of Mexico marked a sexist ideology for a long time.Taking femicides as the most radical aspect of this problem, even so, this country is not far from achieving the social utopia with which the Political Constitution of Mexico was created.
