The Revolutionary War, also called the American Revolution or U.S. War of Independence, was a rebellion fought between 1775 and 1783 wherein 13 of Great Britain's North American threw off British rule to establish United State's autonomy. This event led the sovereign United States of America to what people now know as the Declaration of Independence in 1776. The American Revolution was mainly caused by colonial opposition to British attempts to impose greater control over the colonies and demand compensation for providing them protection against the French and Indian War of 1754-1763.

https://www.britannica.com/event/American-Revolution

The War of 1812 was once again a conflict fought between the United States and Great Britain due to maritime rights which then resulted in aggravating the United States' relation with Britain. This tension led to trade disagreements between the two sides and initiated the practice of "impressment" of US sailors to interfere with the US shipping. Impressment is a method of boarding American merchant ships and forcibly removing sailors they claimed were British deserters, which effectively disrupting American trade. In the end, peace talks occurred between Britain and U.S. in the year 1814 and led them to sign the Treat of Ghent in December 1814.

https://www.britannica.com/event/War-of-1812

The Mexican American War stemmed from the annexation of the Republic of Texas by the U.S. It's an argument that dictates which areas are part of the Texas territory. Texas claimed the Rio Grande River as their western and southern; however, Mexicans argued that the border was in Nueces border to the North. Lastly, the war ended with the signing of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo on February 2, 1848, which favored the United States and gave them vast territories (500,000 square miles/1,300,000 square km) starting off from the Rio Grande to the Pacific Ocean (including California, Nevada Utah and New Mexico).

https://www.britannica.com/event/Mexican-American-War

The Spanish-American War was a conflict between the United States and Spai that effectively ended Spain's colonial power throughout the New World. In this war, United States rose up as a world power with territories stretching from Carribean to Southeast Asia. The reason for the start of SPanish-America War was due to United States' primal need to help Cuba, a former colony of Spain, and the explosion of the USS Maine in Havana Harbor. Towards the end of the war, Spain's military was outmatched from the opening of hostilities, and an armistice signed on August 12, 1898.

https://www.britannica.com/event/Spanish-American-War

World War II lasted from 1939 to 1945 and was a global conflict involving most of the world's nations. It began when Germany, led by Adolf Hitler, invaded Poland, prompting France and Great Britain to declare war against Germany. The major Allied Powers included United States, Soviet Union, Great Britain, and China, while Axis Power included Germany, Italy, and Japan. The war was marked by significant events such as the Holocaust, and the use of atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

The Korean War, which lasted from 1950 to 1953, began when North Korean forces, backed by the Soviet Union and China, invaded South Korea. The United Nations, with the United States as the principal force, came to South Korea's aid. The conflict saw intense fighting and significant casualties on both sides, with major battles such as the Battle of Inchon and the Chinese intervention in late 1950. Despite several advances and retreats by both sides, the war ended in a stalemate with an armistice signed on July 27, 1953. This agreement established the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) near the 38th parallel, effectively dividing the peninsula into North and South Korea, but no formal peace treaty was ever signed, leaving the two Koreas technically still at war.

https://www.britannica.com/event/Korean-War
