One of the most pressing environmental issues which is posing a serious threat to the world is plastic pollution. First, the amount of plastic waste can lead air pollution. This is because when burning plastic waste, it will release toxic chemicals into the air. As a result, it might increase the risk of developing respiratory disease. Secondly, collecting and managing plastic garbage can also be more difficult. The reason is decomposition time of each type of plastic can last for hundreds or even thousands of years. To summarize, plastic pollution is one of the most concerning environmental situations.

There are several solutions to solve plastic pollution problems. Firstly, from 1/1/2026 to now, the methods of not producing and importing non-biodegradable plastic bags smaller than 50cm x 50cm are requeted by government. Following these methods, a request to stop the production and import of single-use plastic products, non-biodegradable plastic packaging, and products and goods containing microplastics from December 31, 2030 was also issued. Along with that, there are also groups working to protect the environment such as Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment (VACNE), Green Saigon group, and small volunteer groups that pick up trash on roadsides, rivers and lakes - places where trash is often dumped. Although litter picking does little to reduce the impact of plastic waste, it does contribute to local flooding. Moreover, reusing and recycling waste are a good idea. For instance, recycle is an activity that can help children develop their creativity, and also waste can become artworks. And you can also reuse electric wire, plastic chair, table, or plastic bottle made from PET, PP, HDPE, LDPE. Overall, although the methods to reduce the harmful effects of plastic waste are very rich and diverse, the most important thing is still the awareness of each individual.

Thành viên: Ngọc Diệp

                     Ngọc Hân

                     Gia Mỹ

                     Gia Mẫn

Vietnam is facing several environmental challenges, but one of the most serious is air pollution. Cities like Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City often have unhealthy air due to vehicle emissions, industrial activities, and construction dust. This pollution harms people’s health, causing breathing problems and other diseases.

Solutions to reduce air pollution:

1. Use public transportation and electric vehicles: Encourage people to use buses, trains, and electric cars to decrease the number of gasoline-powered vehicles on the road.

2. Control industrial emissions: Factories should use modern technologies to reduce the release of harmful gases and follow strict environmental regulations.

3. Plant more trees: Trees help clean the air by absorbing pollutants. Increasing green spaces in cities can improve air quality.

4. Raise public awareness: Educate people about the causes and effects of air pollution and encourage environmentally friendly practices.

By taking these steps, Vietnam can work towards cleaner air and a healthier environment for everyone.

Thành viên nhóm:

Nguyễn Tường Vy

Nguyễn Khánh Kim Ngân

Phạm Tuấn Anh

Nguyễn Minh Khang
