The Wounded Knee occurred on Dec. 1890 near the Wounded Knee creek on the Lakota Pine Ridge reservation. It left 15 dead Native Americans and it clashed between the federal troops and the Sioux's.  The train impacted the Native Americans had dire the consequences for the Native Tribes. Tribes increasingly came into the conflict with the railroad as they attempt to defend their diminishing resources. Geronimo was a leader and a medicine man from the Apache Tribe.
