This is very apparent with the families that are coming to America. It's not only the separating parents from their kids but from siblings from each other. Though the difference between these two is that these sibling are more than likely going to come back together. Though, the several cases that have been documented has caused there to be a "sleepwalking defense." Some see it like an insanity plea or that it is not real a real thing. Even though it has been ten years since the last documented case people would find it either to be something that is fake or would write it off due to never hearing about it. During that time people would probably have said both men were mentally unstable. Today though that would not be the quick answer that would come. One of the first questions that will be asked if it is hereditary or if there is anyone else in the family that also might sleepwalk. In 2019 though that connection is fading and is getting to the point where we may not have one anymore. In our society today no one is seen going out into nature and connecting with it. Instead we see people littering, polluting water ways, deforestation and air pollution from transportation vehicles. A range of stories that plenty of us can retell without having to wonder if a certain should or shouldn't be there and soak up all of the tall tales that lie within it. Even now we have modern folklore. It may look different and hold some similarities. An example that I found to be fitting was Bloody Mary. In comparison to now, those practices would be viewed with lots of disdain and arguments. Many women have had the luxury of having freedoms that we have now and fought with everything to achieve them. Even now, we see women still fighting to keep those accomplishments free.
