Without people even noticing, society puts out the standards and forces us to abide by those rules. 

¨Huckleberry Finn¨ is a great example of this. Society has taught people that if you aren´t white then you aren´t a normal human and in order to succeed you have to act and live in luxury. If you weren´t white and rich then you weren´t accepted. 

In the beginning Huck runs away because he is tired of the abuse from his father but also what society is expecting from him. After a while of traveling and having to stick with Jim, Huck realizes that he really is just a human being. Huck feels a strong connection with Jim once he sets aside the fact that he has different colored skin. He learns that he doesn´t need to follow society´s rules and can be whoever he wants to be. 

After his adventures throughout the book Huck learns how to treat people and realizes that Jim is just a human being like himself. 

Huck doesn´t have an easy adventure to freedom.
