The little red chicken loves when Papa reads her a bedtime story. The only problem is that she cannot stop interrupting the story, whether it is "Hansel and Gretel" or "Little Red Riding Hood". Although Papa warns and scolds her that she should be relaxing, not interrupting, little red chicken just wants to help save the main characters from trouble! So, Papa has her write her own story instead of interrupting his. Her creativity lulls them both to sleep and their bedtime story is complete.

For help writing your summary, see the image below:

For example, she interrupts the story "Chicken Little" because "'I couldn't let that little chicken get all upset over an acorn!'".

Creative:

At Papa's suggestion, the little red chicken writes her own story to exert her creativity productively rather than interrupting. Her story even has drawings and a plot, and it ultimately puts Papa to sleep.

Energetic:

Even though the little red chicken is in bed and being read numerous stories by Papa, she cannot calm down enough to go to sleep. She is simply too energetic and excited about storytelling to fall asleep!

Papa:

Impatient:

Right off the bat, Papa warns the little red chicken not to interrupt the story at bedtime, implying that he has had to deal with this interrupting-issue before. Furthermore, when the little red chicken interrupts the stories, he gently scolds, " 'You interrupted the story. Try not to get so involved...you're supposed to be relaxing so you can fall asleep,'". Then, he switches to another story rather than continuing with the one that was interrupted.

Encouraging:

Papa encourages the little red chicken to be creative and come up with her own bedtime story, even though she seems hesitant at first.

Creative:

Having little red chicken create her own story was a creative idea that most parents would not have come up with. Most parents probably would have just continued to read new stories or send her to bed without a bedtime story. However, Papa's solution was a creative one that ended up working!
