         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>The ancient Babylonians calculated the area of a circle by taking 3 times the square of its radius.</li><li>The symbol of Pi was invented by a British Mathematician in 1706 named, William Jones.The symbol was then adopted by Euler in 1737 and was the general symbol used to represent Pi</li><li>March 14 is known as Pi day because of it’s date (3/14) </li><li>Archimedes of Syracuse (287-212 BC, one of the greatest mathematicians of the ancient times)  made the first calculation of Pi. He did not find the value of Pi but he showed us that Pi is anywhere between 3 1/7 and 3 10/71.</li><li>In the Greek alphabet, Pi is the sixteenth letter (Piwas), in the english alphabet P is the sixteenth letter too.</li></ul><div><br></div>]]></description>
