If they are not fighting they are being taken care of in theseschard times. Just think they are getting food and free shelter. For the people fighting they are st risk of death, but the also fighting to help someone or somthing. Could it be that people are scared of the risk factor and they totally miss the reward? There are many similarities between theses to but there are multiple differences. Both grace and her mother were working for troupes agented the government. They were both extremely unhappy. In the text the author talked about how both women and children helped make food for the solders. 
     Many children just like Grace were forced to go get huge amounts of water and fill jugs then hall them back to camp. If they where two slow they could have been beaten to death. They where also in charge of steeling supply from the village along with collecting fire wood. Lastly, the author wrote, “Child soldiers are forced to do everything from carrying equipment and cooking to spying
 and engaging in combat.” This shows that they had so much work to do every day for the soldiers fighting in combat.  
     Grace’s mother and the other adults where in charge of make inferences food for the soldiers of how to fight in the bloody battle. Some mothers where thought how to fight a gun. If they were not doing something that they where supposed to do then they would be beaten by the children with sticks. In conclusion, Grace her mother and all of the other children and adults had a lot to do but they all had different things to do.
