         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><p>there are over 1800 species </p></li><li><p>whose body plan is radical, their anatomy is arranged in a circle while their arms are evenly spaced out around the central disk.</p></li><li><p>to eat sea stars can pop their stomachs out of their mouths to eat. After they have the food, the stomach goes back into their body and the food is then digested. </p></li><li><p>they prey on mollusks - including clams, mussels, and oysters. </p></li><li><p>they can live for up to 10 - 35 years</p></li><li><p>they have chemical-based defenses like slime, have bad taste or toxic chemicals in their body wall, and others have spines or armor.</p></li><li><p>a unique trait of theirs is that they can regenerate their arms if they ever lose a limb. </p></li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><p>there are 940 species of class Echinoidea</p></li><li><p>their radial body plan is spherical, they have ambulacral regions and tube feet, which cover most of the sphere. </p></li><li><p>they eat plants and animals or basically anything that comes across their path and they use their tube feet to catch their food and transfer it to their mouths located on their underside. It's five part jaw efficiently cuts off pieces to eat. </p></li><li><p>they can live to be over 100 years old or in some cases 200 years old. </p></li><li><p>sea urchins use their spikes and poison to defend themselves against predators, their poison is located at the base of their spines. </p></li><li><p>a unique trait of sea urchins is they don't actually have brains!</p></li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><p>there are around 2000 species </p></li><li><p>they have a radial body plan with five long skinny arms connecting to their central disk. </p></li><li><p>they filter feed out of the water or they use their jaws on the underside of their disc to catch prey. they usually eat algae, plants, fish feces, and other detritus as well as small oceanic organisms such as plankton.</p></li><li><p>they live up to five years</p></li><li><p>brittle stars can drop their arms if they are ever caught by prey. </p></li><li><p>they use their long arms to move around other than their tube feet unlike other echinoderms.</p></li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><p>there are 80 species </p></li><li><p>sea lilies have a long stalk that is attached to the ground, on top of that stalk they have a cup-shaped body called a calyx which contains their internal organs. From the calyx, they have feathery arms. </p></li><li><p>They have tube feet lining the side branches of their arms and flick drifting food particles into a groove, from where cilia carry the food to the central mouth. They primarily eat small particles of food that float by in the water like zooplankton, algae, and detritus.</p></li><li><p>they can live for up to 20 years or more</p></li><li><p>If a sea lily is attacked, the ligaments go flaccid, and muscles on the grooved side collapse the arms together for protection.</p></li><li><p>a unique trait would be that they are mounted to the ground so they have little to no mobility.</p><p><br/></p></li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><p>there are over 1000 species of Holothuroidea</p></li><li><p>they have a radial body plan, they have a tube-like shape and is mainly covered in tube feet. </p></li><li><p>Sea cucumbers feed on little waste particles such as plankton and decaying carcasses. They use the 8-10 tentacles around their mouths to help catch and put food particles into it. </p></li><li><p>they can live up to 5- 10 years old</p></li><li><p>Sea cucumbers use a variety of self-defense mechanisms like toxin release and camouflage, but they can also harden their skin and even expel their own organs out of their bodies to distract or entangle predators.
