Prioritize building relationships. Focus on content that is engaging for the work environment. (ex. move around the house) Focus on quality over quantity. Go slow to go fast. Empathy- constantly putting ourselves in our students' shoes. Create spaces where students can socialize. Be consistent. Learning about our kids and families.

Focus on relationships at the beginning, focus on building community. How can we inspire students to connect to and ground themselves in their community outside Brio? How can we be more holistic and leverage advisory to do so? We need to use different means to achieve these same goals.

How does this connect to the holistic child? How can we be more explicit about academic dishonesty. What is 'working together' and what is plagiarism? We should have way more focused rules about academic dishonesty. Very important to be intentional and positivity, but with strong structure. Caring culture will carry over into the classroom- what is the 'weather' like in you classroom?

2. We are slightly concerned about the merit/demerit levels, but likely to use demerits way less. There seems to be a need for more rational for why those changes to merits were made.
We should apply our equity lens to every aspect that we approach. If we want to focus on the positive and the good, we should focus on the merits as well.
