Atticus catches the Ewells in a lie in the previous chapters. Have you ever caught a liar or been caught lying? How did you and the others involved feel?

When I was little my cousin and I went and chopped our hair off. So when our moms asked if we cut our hair we said no. They obviously knew it was us so we ended up having messed up hair for a while. But it grew back and now I only go a stylist. I have lied many times mainly when I was younger and I would lie about doing chores or eating something I wasn’t supposed to. I have caught my sisters lying about little things multiple times. I do feel a little upset because I know that it would be easier if they would just tell me the truth. One of the biggest lies that happens in my family all of the time though, is who ate who’s food. Lol

Okay so in second grade I thought it was a good idea to cut off my eyelashes from my left eye, I went downstairs and my mom saw my eye. She was panicking and kept asking if i did it or someone else did, I said a girl in my class did it and i was sent to the office the next day with the girl on the verge of crying and me feeling really bad, I ended saying it was me and I ended up in trouble so i went home early.. I felt really bad.. The next year (She remembered) and she bullied me until 5th grade because she began to hate me :')

sadly I've gotten away with very much worse lies..

I don't really lie a lot, but sometimes I catch myself exaggerating to my friends to make them laugh or tell an interesting story. I do know people who lie and it is hard to trust them. My friend always makes up these crazy things and says they happened, but she lies a lot so I know it is not true. It makes me sad that she feels she has to lie about herself so people will like her.

I remember a time when I lied about the amount of time I spent playing a game because I wanted more time. At first I was not caught in my lie, but later on in that day my parents realized I had lied to them, and I was told to take a time out in my room and think about what I had done. At first I was frustrated that I had been caught lying, but then I realized it was not good to lie to get what I wanted, so I apologized to my parents. This was about 3 years ago, when I was around 12 years old.

When I was in second grade I went to a Public school. In that school we would get weekly progress reports on our behaviors, the grading systems would be Green light, Yellow light, and Red light. Lets just say I didn't get a lot of green lights. I was really afraid of my mom seeing my behavior reports, and so I stuck the in the side pocket of my backpack. I thought I was a genius by doing this. Of course I got caught. One day I spilled something in my backpack and my mom had to clean it out. She found over 30+ behavior reports crumbled up and stuffed in my bag. Lets just say I was in more trouble because i hid them then I would've been if I had just showed them to my parents. My parents were upset and disappointed in me, I felt sad and angry because I didn't want to disappoint my parents, but I also felt stupid because I got caught... - Luciana Staublein

before my dad moved away, when I was little he would come home after work and ask me if I finished all my school and I would lie and say yes just so we could spend time together, as a kid I would never tell the whole truth so it would not classify as a lie. Everyone lies several times in their life, its only humanity to do so, no human is perfect. I have told much worse lies, but most are personal so id much rather only share the childish one I would say so often

My little brother has pretty bad allergies and he has a EpiPen. One day I saw it and I was curious and I stabbed it into a wooden basket. Then I threw it in the back of the sink. A few days later my mom was cleaning under her sink and found it. She questioned everyone I lied the first two times then I finally folded. I ended up getting in a lot of trouble because his EpiPen was very important. In the end I learned my lesson.

My sister challenged me to drawing animals and since I always tell her, "I'm better at drawing animals, and I know it." My sister called me out, she ended up winning, and I finally admitted I don't even know how to draw animals.
