With the rise of nationalism, the Africans finally found their way to freedom. But the impact and loses are still prevalent at every step of their way. If they were not exploited and oppressed the people of Africa would have learnt to value their worth and make progress economically and culturally. Being wonderfully rich in natural resources, precious minerals and natural beauty, African countries would have been the richest and the most resourceful in the world. The wealth they were naturally blessed, the people being so dedicated and hardworking, there wouldn't be any hunger and poverty in many countries of Africa like now. The Europeans have created conflicts between the tribes and that somehow affected the loyalty, trust and unity among the tribes. Every human being is dignified and valuable, the Europeans almost made the Africans consider themselves as not even human beings. In spite of achieving freedom racism still persists in the world. If there was no slavery, Africa would be in a much better state than it is now. The people of Congo wouldn't keep fighting and children would not die out of hunger and famines even in such a modern world as of today.
