John Romita Jr. or JRJR as he is known by most was born in New York city on August 17, 1956.
Jr is the son of John Romita Sr the co-creator of seven notable stories of Spider-Man in the 60's and 70's.
John made his first contribution to Marvel Comics at the age of 13 when he created Prowler in the Amazing Spider-Man #78 (Nov. 1969)
Romita was a 1976 graduate of Farmingdale State College.
His American debut was with a six page story entitled "Chaos at the Coffee Bean" in the Amazing Spider-Man annual #11 (1977)
Romita continued to illustrate for Marvel Comics up until Febuary 4, 2014 where he sided with DC
Jr's work includes: Wolverine, The Uncanny X-Men, The Punisher, Daredevil, Iron Man, Thor, Black Panther, Cable, Avengers, WWH and Captain America.

I chose John Romita Jr. because he has left his mark on the spider-man Universe with his unique style as well as being the one who as illustrated many of my favorite Marvel heroes. I find that being an illustrator and having the chance to make your work come to life is fantastic, especially if you work for marvel.
