This article claims TikTok skincare can cause more harm than good. It says that more costly skincare products can lack sunscreen and cause harm to younger skin, causing skin cancer due to lack of protection. Most skincare products advertised on the internet can have burning, itching, or irritating ingredients and harmful chemicals that aren't helping you skin, rather damaging your skin barrier and making you more prone to skin disease.

According to an article by Harvard Medical School, dance and music can help reduce anxiety. dance is actually is being used to help treat people with Parkinson’s disease. Music activated the brain's reward center while dance activates its motor and sensory circuits. When you dance, you almost always do it to music, so dancing is very rewarding to your brain. Multiple studies show that dancing reduces stress and helps create new neutral connections. Doing movement helps reduce anxiety because often you are not focusing on what you have anxiety about, but about what you are doing. This is how dance helps reduce anxiety.

A ball’s path through the air also depends on how it spins. That’s because a ball’s spin causes air to flow differently around different sides of it. Softball and baseball players can make the ball curve in various directions. These airflow affects also impact how other balls, including basketballs, arc through the air. Such effects could be used to improve the spinning cylinders that help power cargo ships.

What happened when Simone Biles got the twisties at the Olympics?

Simone has been known as the GOAT, greatest of all time because of her talent in gymnastics. When she was competing in Tokyo, Japan she sprinted down the mat and flipped into the air, hitting the vault table hands down. When she pushed off from it, she meant to rotate two-and-a-half times. Instead, she made only one-and-a-half rotations. And she landed awkwardly. The twisties is how athletes describe a mental block that can mess with a sense of where their body is in space. This is what happened to her, and it can be very dangerous.

They stop putting effort into holding onto their leaves. This also helps the wind pass through better putting less strain on the tree. Fungus feast on the fallen leaves turning into good nutrients that the trees use to make new trees when it warms up again.

Some guitarists have fancy instruments made from rare, expensive woods. Those guitars look pretty. And the musicians insist that such instruments are worth the expense. They claim the guitars produce a richer sound than those made from less costly woods. A team of researchers, including a guitar maker, recently set out to test that notion. What they found might surprise musicians.

Even a simple acoustic (non-electric) guitar has a lot of parts. Major parts include strings, of course. An acoustic guitar usually has six strings. One end of each string is attached to the instrument’s so-called head. And that sits at the end of a long neck. The other end of each string is attached to a small piece called the bridge. The bridge is attached to the guitar’s body. Several parts, in turn, make up that body. The part that people can most easily see when the guitar is being played is called the soundboard. The sides and back of the guitar’s body are, as a group, referred to as the “back wood.”

The big difference between them was the material used as the back wood. One was Brazilian rosewood. Luthiers love it, says Plack, because it is hard, dense and stiff. That allows it to stand up to the stresses and strains caused by music’s vibrations. But Brazilian rosewood comes from a rare species. These trees face a high risk of extinction in the wild over the next few decades. Instruments made from it can fetch thousands of dollars. Other woods used for the study’s guitars varied in hardness, strength and cost. They consisted of Indian rosewood, mahogany, walnut, maple and sapele (Sah-PEL-ay).

Short exercise breaks help kids do much better in school. Scientists had students do quick, nine-minute workouts like jumping jacks to see how their brains changed. They used special caps to track brain activity during focus tests. The results showed that exercise makes the brain more efficient at catching mistakes. This helped students improve their scores in subjects like math and reading. Moving around helps "wake up" the brain so it doesn't have to work as hard to stay focused. It proves that taking a quick break to move is better than just sitting at a desk all day.

Since English doesn't have a word to describe it, we simply call it schadenfreude, which is German. The emotion is very strange even though we often feel it, but scientists are studying schadenfreude and how to identify it. In an experiment, scientists got a child to feel jealous, and when their mothers accidentally spilled water, the jealous child acted happy. This shows that jealous people feel this joy, and it is completely normal.

Recent studies show that these skincare brands teens are watching on TikTok have really bad effects on teen skin. For example, they have harmful ingredients that can cause allergic reactions, irritation, and cause long-term damage to their skin. The study shows that most of the products have anti-aging ingredients that are harmful to young skin. Also, most of them don't have sunscreen.

They are also very expensive, in the study, they proved that, "most creators used an average of six products, which on average cost a total of $168" (ScienceNews). for these low-quality products, they are very expensive. Especially for young teens and tweens. It is not worth spending all that money on some skincare that doesn't even benefit your skin.

Teens also might just buy the skincare because of the hype. They are so influenced by social media, that they don't even think twice before buying all of these products.

If they were to make better decisions, then it would benefit their wallets and their future skin. Stop buying into TikTok trends. They aren't worth it.
