I really love your use of seesaw and book creator. There are so many cool features within these two resources, but what really stood out to me (especially after watching Time's seesaw video, so cute!) was the audio voice feature. I think that this allows young children to really access the assignment, especially those students who might have lower writing abilities at the moment. Do you think this is necessary? What do you think would happen if you would let them choose between making a paper book or using Book Creator? I love Book Creator most, but if I understand it correctly this is a tool only half of the class is allowed to use. This makes Seesaw my favourite, as it is a lovely idea to let students present their work! Is Seesaw only a platform for parents and teachers to see, or can students also see what their classmates have created? If the latter, it is perfect! If it is only for parents, I would look for a way for in class sharing as well. I am sorry if I have missed something and misunderstood the tasks. :-)

I do let them take pictures sometimes with a tablet, that I use later to make a book. Even though I finalized the book, we did make the book 'together'. For example: I might ask some students to take pictures of other students dressed up as animals and make a DIY' Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See' book out of it. My students are a little bit younger than yours, so I do not think they are able to create a book without 1-to-1 support. Book making covers so many skills and the way you have build up your project, will ensure students are engaged and motivated. I loved the example book you have created, but it did make me wonder if it doesn't set up your class for copying your idea. Do you want your students to write stories, or just make a book? What kind of structure do you encourage them to use? How many pages do they need to create? I know the goal for every student is 'to create a book', but I think you could be a bit clearer about what the end result should look like. Students can always do more, but they do need to know what your minimum expectation is.
