They did this to show that they were not happy with taxes put on the tea. in 1773 the government passed the tea act . which meant that the colonist could only buy the British tea which was cheap but with tax people could barley pay for it 16 months later the Revolution began.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>

All americans were suppose to buy a stamp for any legal documntation. some Examples are newspapers, playing cards, and any type of legal documntation. The brits thought we woudnt notice the tax.this was the first drift for america and the mother country.  Both were major acts of pushing the two country towards war. </div>]]></description>

The act banded all ships landing and sailing into and out of the Boston Port. <br> The next act is The Impartial Administration of Justice Act. This act meant if a colonist committed a crime the royal governor could move the trails to another colony or to England if he wanted to. <br> The next act is the Massachusetts Bay Regulating Act. They dressed up as Mohawk Indians and dumped 342 chests of tea overboard from three different merchant ships after they refused to send the tea back to Britain. After that Britain made the colonist pay back the tea's cost and until they did that they blocked the port with ships.</div>]]></description>
