I grew up in Ridley, Delaware County and moved 5 minutes from my parents to Interboro 3 years ago. I now have 3 roomates, one (Michelle) I met at work and we got contracts together after subbing for a year, her sister (Nicole), and Nicole's friend from work Ashlea. After graduating, I moved around a lot within Delaware County. I began as an instructional assistant in a reading classroom at Tinicum Elementary School, then became a title 1 reading tutor at Senkow and East Lansdowne Elementary Schools. I also held a couple long-term substitute positions as a learning support teacher within the Upper Darby and William Penn School Districts. I finally got a contract teaching Kindergarten at Walnut Street Elementary School in the William Penn School District. Unfortunately, instructional assistants do not get paid enough, so I had to move on and seek a contracted teacher position, knowing I wanted to work towards working in a reading position again in the future. I am now attempting to work towards achieving my dream of becoming a reading specialist by taking the certification program. 


I can't wait to learn more to better educate my students and be a better version of myself!
