         <description><![CDATA[<div>In America alone, over one-million people get in wrecks due to wet or icy pavement. Tires get very slick in different weather, and when combined with fast speeds, deadly outcomes arise.<br>Tires also become the beginning or adding of debt for many people as they typically cost four-hundred dollars or more to get a full set of new tires. This financial burden causes people to drive on tires with no tread because they cannot afford to buy new tires.   </div>]]></description>

         <title>How to Adapt</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Cheetahs are animals that rule the Savannas of Africa, and it is adaptations they have developed that have helped them become the fastest land mammals in the world. While they have many different bodily adaptations, something that allows them to pick up such amazing speeds and stop quickly is their PAWS!<br>A Cheetah's paw is very narrow like a dogs. Although their paws are narrow, they spread out their toes while running so that their paws cover more surface area. This gives them great balance when running. <br>Cheetah's have semi-retractable claws. Much like a dog, Cheetahs cannot retract their claws into their body. These claws allow them to make quick turns, and accelerate much faster than other animals. This is because the claws will dig into the Earth and give them something to push off of. Their claws also allow them to come to an almost complete stop after running at speeds up to sixty miles per hour. <br>Each paw-print on a Cheetah is unique. The paw of a Cheetah adapts based on the Cheetah's build and sex. The paw changes to allow an appropriate size and shape for the specific Cheetah it is adapting to. <br>Not only is the paw-print shape unique to a Cheetah, but the ridges on its paws as well. These ridges first act like a fingerprint to a Cheetah allowing scientists to track the amount of Cheetahs in Africa. Second, the ridges on a Cheetah' s paw act as tread for traction. These rough ridges allow the Cheetah to not slip when accelerating, making sharp turns, or stopping suddenly. </div>]]></description>

         <title>How a Cheetah&#39;s Paws can Change the Way We Make Tires</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The semi-retractable claws in a Cheetah's paws could make great tire ridges. These ridges would be in the crescent shape of a claw giving the tire great traction as it would dig into the pavement. In rough weather, the tire would push through the aspects blocking the tire's surface from the pavement. <br>The tire itself would be narrow as a Cheetah's paw. It would be a bit more narrow than a regular tire, but the ridges would stretch as the tire hits the pavement as a Cheetah's paw stretches when it is running. This gives the tire more surface area and traction when driving in any condition. The narrow tire also allow the car to be light so that it can accelerate or stop quickly as a Cheetah does. <br>As each footprint of the Cheetah is unique, the design and size of the "Cheetire" will be unique to any specific car. This will allow for more variation in choosing the correct tire for a car. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Other Adaptations that Could Help Humans</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. The Tail --&gt; A Cheetah's tail acts like a boat rudder. The muscular tail swings around as they run and gives them better balance. This adaptation could be transferred to sports such as snowboarding/skiing to give these people balance on the slopes. This could also be transferred to cars and kayaks/canoes to help people steer easier. <br>2. The Eyes --&gt; Cheetahs have black tear markings around their eyes. This allows them to see easily without the glare of the sun getting in their eyes. This could be paralleled to make a new type of glasses. People with glasses have to either pay a lot of money for prescription sunglasses. Having black rimmed glasses that are closer fit to the face. This would act like the black tear marks on their face and give them better protection from the sun. <br>3. Coloration--&gt; The spots on a cheetah act as camouflage for the cheetah to blend in with its surroundings. Similar army uniforms could be created to allow these people  to blend in to the surroundings of the desert. Camouflage outfits/jackets could be created for people who live in these areas. <br>4. Shape--&gt; The shape of a cheetah is unlike that of any other mammal. Their slender, muscular, lightweight bodies allow them to pick up speed easily. This could be transferred to the shape of a car. Having a car that is aerodynamically slender can allow the car to pick up speed quickly with minor wind resistance.  </div>]]></description>

The tire is thought of front a frontal point of view to give the audience a new perspective. To allow more understanding of the tire as a whole, the latest model was created from a perspective including all of the adaptations made. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The model of the "Cheetire" is made out of aluminum. In reality, the rim of the tire would be aluminum, but the tire itself would be rubber. The ridges would be a part of the rubber tire, and this would allow them to stretch with the pavement. The smaller ridges would be build into the rubber giving the tire more traction. The "Cheetire" would also be made of recycled rubber or other materials. This would lower the price and make it more accessible to the average person.</div>]]></description>
