The yalta confrence was when poeple came together to talk about berlin and how to contain poeple, eventually ending in the berlin wall.

Marshall plan 1947

The marshall plan was somethign that was supposed to help other places the needed it. The US would send aid and help to those hwo needed it.

NATO formed 1949

NATO was formed to help protect eachother as countries and that the places would always be there if anyone needed to help eachother.

Korean War 1950-1953

The Korean war was not exactly usefull they both ended with something blocking them anyway, separating them. they faught and faught but nothing happned.

Warsaw Pact 1955

The warsaw Pact was created as the communists agreed to al be treated equal and they would stay in thier states. (USSR, Soviets) Soviets take control.

Cuban revolution 1959

cause: Rosa parks sat in a segregated section of the bus so they had kicked her off and arrested her, that caused all these people to get mad and relatiat.

February 1960 Sit-in protest

April 3 - May 10 1963 - Police arrest Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

July 2, 1964 - President Johnson signs the Civil Rights Act of 1964

February 21, 1965 - Civil Rights leader Malcolm X is murdered

August 6, 1965 - President Johnson signs the Voting Rights Act of 1965
