What is the issue?
As technology becomes more and more advanced and applied vastly in the lives of Malaysians, the amount of e-waste in Malaysia is rising drastically. Adding in to the fact that the majority of e-waste from US is sent to southeast Asian countries beginning 2018 when previously e-waste is sent to China, but the government of Beijing drastically announced "National Sword" policy to ban hazardous materials. After this, the e-waste recyclers turned to southeast Asia.

What is the goal of the analysis?
1. To observe the actions that are undertook by our government towards this issue
2. To discuss and provide any possible suggestions that can be taken by students to combat this issue

What is the context of the problem?
1. Disposal of e-waste has reached an all-time high, but the issue has only been met with lukewarm concern from the public and the local councils
2. Consumers don't know where to throw the waste out
3. Most recycling points in town do not have separate compartments for e-waste to ensure safer storage

What key facts should be considered?
People and Machines
Policies

What alternatives are available to the decision-maker?
1. Hold campaigns to the public about buying less electronics, choosing well, and making it last.
2. Buy environmentally friendly products.
3. Establish laws that enforces recycling centres to properly store and sort e-wastes

What would you recommend- and why?
Hold campaigns to the public. This is because the majority of the people in Malaysia are still not informed about the proper use of electronics, how to prolongue its life, and how to properly dispose it.
