My SMART goals

The SMART goals for this term included achieving at least a B as a term mark, passing all summative tasks, and improving study habits. The first and second goals were not met when I calculated for my term mark and got a C, mostly caused by inadequate review for some SAs. This led to not passing every summative assessment, affecting overall performance. However, the third goal of improving study habits was successfully achieved, with noticeable reduction in procrastination in reviewing compared to the previous school year.

Conceptual understanding - Cerebry 4.5

I found it challenging to complete the cerebry exercises on quadratic functions because they required several hours of daily effort, which left me feeling tired, particularly since many of the problems were lengthy and easy to make mistakes in. Breaking the task into multiple days, however, helped reduce the fatigue caused by working on it for extended periods.

Eureaka! - Finding a perpendicular line when given a certain point

I encountered confusion when attempting to determine a line passing through a given point and perpendicular to a specified line. I was aware that the new line's slope had to be different from the given line's slope and that the given point needed to be substituted into the equation, but I lacked a clear method for calculating the specific slope. After watching tutorials on YouTube, I learned that I needed to find the negative reciprocal of the given line's slope to obtain the correct slope for the line that is being looked for.

My best works - LT 1

Long Test 1 was by far my best effort this term because I studied the most for it compared to the other Long tests. I reviewed the given material in PowerPoint and re-answered the quizzes in the topic by taking a picture of it and crossing out all the answers. This resulted in a higher grade compared to the other Long tests I had in the term though I could have been more careful when answering the LT because I still got a few mistakes and even an nfd.

In our paired assignment, I played a role in completing the table containing data for the number of cuts and the corresponding sum of perimeters. I also took the initiative to identify the independent and dependent variables, as evident in my handwriting. I also provided assistance to Iori in answering the questions in item number 10 by reminding him how to identify an increasing and decreasing line.
