My teacher assigned me a project to describe three objects that are meaningful to me.  I chose a dragon, a book, and a pencil.  I’ll go into more detail on each of these.

My first object is a dragon figurine because I love dragons!  Since dragons are fantasy creatures, they can be pretty much anything you want them to be.  Imagining a world with dragons make me think happy thoughts and escape to a place where there is no COVID or smoke. The figurine is a black dragon, in some places on it’s body it’s more shimmery.  It has wings as if the sun were shining through them so the center part is red.  The dragon’s claws are silver, it has it’s talon lifted as if it’s about to grab something.  I didn’t choose the dragon for the color, but because it’s my favorite and the best looking.

My second object is a book.  I love to read a variety of books but my favorite ones have dragons and/or magic in them.   These tend to be very creative and imaginative.  At different times of day, I read different things.  In the morning, I read books that I have read before.  In the evenings I sometimes try new books.  Right before bed I like read to my favorite passages from books that I’ve already read.  Reading makes me happy.

My third object is a pencil. The wood for my pencil is dyed black, the outside is shiny silver.  I love to draw!  When I’m upset it helps me calm down.  When I’m bored its something for me to do.  When I’m happy it’s just what I feel like doing.  Art is important to me because it is creative and I am creative.  It’s something I’m really good at and I know a lot of techniques for drawing.  The more I practice the more I improve. 

I hope these three items explain me and the things I love.

Also the power of ten relates to our place value lessons because it shows you what happens when you add a zero.

#3 My Book
My book is called “ Bugs That Go Bump In The Night”. It is a book about halloween. It has witches, skeletons, and bugs,. Frankinstein, jack-o-lanterns, and moving houses too. It is a very old pop up book. My dad used to read it to me every night when I was little. It was my favorite book! It is slightly broken now but I remember getting tucked in and my dad asking me which book I wanted him to read and I always a  said “ The one on the left!!” because my dad always left it on the left of my shelf so I could always find it. I never got nightmares from that book because I knew any book my dad read me would never let me have bad dreams. I love how at the end of the book it had some bug glasses so I could look buggy too!
