         <description><![CDATA[<div>In this lecture <strong>Sustainable Development Goals</strong> were discussed and how education is playing its part to establish them. I learnt about the three pillars of sustainability i-e social, environmental and economic<strong>; </strong>three pillars of sustainable development i-e people, planet, and prosperity  and the 17 SDG’s. Past 5 year progress of the attainability of the goals was also discussed and how most of the developed countries are the ones which are playing their role in CO<sub>2 </sub>emissions.</div>]]></description>

It was an opportunity for me to learn about the targets which need to be achieved till 2030. The targets are related to SDG 1(no poverty), 5(gender equality), 10(reduced inequalities). The most important aim is the equal distribution of resources among the population in order to reduce poverty.</div>]]></description>

I also learned the basic definition of human rights and how human beings expect to be treated with dignity and respect. Some questions were raised which we need to ask ourselves in order to understand what democracy is.
