These funny mixtures of words don't really help us understand the common one's connection to science. A better way for one to understand how science works is an understanding of the scientific method, which align to the likes of the process of elimination to find the truth of the an initial quota or question being asked.

Essentially, ask a question, find out what happens when you try to answer it, if it satisfies your question, congrats! You're a scientist. If it doesn't, well find out why! and hey, you'd still be a scientist.

Flat earth is what you get when you mix the practice of empiricism, the human condition and a contrarian. Now I'm going to be an absolutist here and say that geographical data on the earth and the understanding of physics have not changed since that one Greek dude slammed a stick in the ground and watched the sun play ring around the rosie on its axis.

Again, we have had the answer to this speculation, it's simply those who base their confirmations on the physicalities of the world around them on personal experience who question if the world is flat.
