         <description><![CDATA[<div>Hydrogenosomes are<strong> </strong>membrane-bound organelles found within the cytoplasm of eukaryotic cells. Hydrogenosomes got its name from its function of releasing molecular hydrogen (H<sub>2</sub>) as a by-product of energy generation under anaerobic (oxygen-deficient) conditions. Cells with hydrogenosomes do not have a mitochondria therefore hyrdrogenosomes are the main energy providers. </div>]]></description>
