I see that students are in charge of their learning, different groups, assuming homogeneous groups, where the teacher can focus on lower level students who need more attention while other students are self teaching and assessing. This allows for many different entry points and student choice.

Having a peer expert allows a high-functioning student to master the material and assist her peers. It also frees up the teacher to provide more support to other students who may need it. Posting an answer key gives students the opportunity to independently check their work and keeps them on task while the teacher and peer expert are busy with other students.

I created a How-To video for my 1st graders, instructing them how to organize their notes when writing down weekly vocab words. This will allow students to review the procedure without having to ask me or have me repeat the steps. I can apply these to various other notetaking and organizational strategies in the classroom.

I created a how-to sheet for students in a 6/7 bridge class to solve equations (one/two step). This activity will be an option for students to use manipulatives and actually subtract or add pencils to figure out how many pencils are in a pack by using division.

I also created an Edpuzzle from a Khan Academy video for students to watch Sal solve a two step equation, with questions throughout the video for students to solve before they can move on.

Giving students a couple options for how they want to learn the content.
