Statistics and the presentation of data can easily be misleading through how it is presented and also how it has been processed. The application of misleading statistics is very common in marketing and also some time in medicine where they intentionally mislead the public in order to trigger a specific stimuli to those who are interpreting the data. Therefore, it is injustifiable to intentionally mislead the public through misleading statistics.

When we discuss producing data or results, the word "produce" can be defined as processing data. Where a raw data sample is processed, then it can be further analyzed. The process depends on the purpose of the results, and different people can process raw data sets differently, and technology does not have to be a part of it. Technology comes in when the actual calculations are being performed, and then it could be said that technology can be used to validate human's answers or processing of data. This is because humans are more prone to mistakes then technology. However, this problem becomes more and more prevalent as technology develops. With technology, the human then feels more dependent towards technology to verify the processed data they have to calculate, or even have the technology to process the raw data.

The production of data can be defined as the process of collecting and also processing the raw data. The role of technology in the modern world had significantly benefited the process of conducting calculations and also processing data in order to get a more accurate representation of the data (such as representing the data set via a graph). As much as we rely on technology, there are still some grey area that exist in technology that we need to be aware of when collecting and also processing our data. Thus, we rely on technology to "produce" our data to the extent that it serves a higher range of accuracy. However, as accurate technology may be, we as humans still need to use logical thinking in the process of processing and interpreting the data

Technology has immensely helped us with collecting data. Comparing to when we could only collect and process large data points manually, data collection and analysis with that method would definitely bring up computing errors which could terribly affect the conclusions and evaluations that could be derived from such data. However, with the use of technology, it is easier and quicker to collect and process data into a manner that is presentable and easy to evaluate. However, using technology could also generate random errors such as a malfunctioning in the device, or a mistake on our part, e.g. inputing the data into the device to process, using the wrong software, etc.

Technology is a great asset in this day and age, where the development of technology is already highly modern and effective in doing tasks in our daily life. But I believe that always relying on technology 24/7 is not something productive for us. Technology does not always work 100%, and if we expect it to get everything done for us, we will not be able to solve problems on our own when the technology breaks or does not work anymore.
