         <description><![CDATA[<p>The purpose of this text was to show the impact of climate change with Canadian politics, and how to address the problem. The text shows evidence since 1861 - 1992 that shows that climate change is changing our world and our future. The intended audience is the government and the American population. This text uses logos as its rhetorical device by stating facts and its effective because the evidence of CO2 levels during different time periods and how its effecting the world. It only shows how the CO2 levels are effected by what people do. This source helps clarify the topic by showing facts and data that supports the claim that climate change is changing our world for worse. The source could've been stronger and more persuasive towards the other audience. This source is relevant and useful to the topic.    </p>]]></description>

The author challenges political figures who dismiss climate change, giving their comments to ignorance rather than hostility. This source argues that although there are huge economic advantages to be gained from prevention efforts, climate change poses a serious threat to global health and security. The audience of this source&nbsp;includes&nbsp;political leaders, the general public, and residents of Florida. The source uses ethos as its rhetorical device because the author uses his credibility as a scientist and the director of the Clean Energy Research&nbsp;Center. The source&nbsp;clarifies the possible health effects of climate change and shows how urgent and relevant these issues are by citing real-world examples like Zika and Ebola.
