         <title>Paradigm </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Janet Raynor's research operates under a feminist paradigm, which is a critical paradigm. A feminist paradigm as described by Denzin and Lincoln focuses on lived experiences, gender, race and class through the form of stories (2005). Raynor's research is based on the experiences of the people of Bangladesh who have been affected by the female stipend program. Raynor then presents the majority of her findings in the form of anecdotes. Additionally, a critical paradigm such as the feminist paradigm seeks to answer the question of who benefits from or exploits the current situation (Anderson, 2013). </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Raynor conducted her research using a combination of interviews and questionnaires. She conducted 41 interviews and administered questionnaires to 456 respondents (Raynor, 2006). The majority of her research was qualitative in nature. Her methodology reflects a critical paradigm in that it included both a historical review of FSP (Anderson, 2013) in Bangladesh but also included a significant amount of participant observation (Denzin and Lincoln, 2005). </div>]]></description>

She explains that FSP is not sustainable as it is conducted now and that changes need to be made (Raynor, 2006). Her research aids in understanding the views of the people participating in FSP. As Anderson quotes, Raynor uncovers "conditions of action which are hidden or distorted by everyday understanding" (2013). </div>]]></description>
