         <description><![CDATA[<div>- The common people in the Inca empire were taxed not in money but in labour. In return, they would get food, clothes, housing, and other such necessities. <br>- There were complex irrigation systems in the mountains that enabled the Inca to plant at different heights and to nourish the entire empire. <br>- Empire was divided into 4 parts (Tahuantinsuyu), which reported to the king. <br> -The Incas had no writing, but they used a counting system involving knotting strings, which was used to count and record everything that they needed. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>- Even though they were vastly outnumbered, the Spanish conquistadors defeated the Inca as a result of having better weapons, having horses, surprise, and bringing the flu. <br>- Huayna Capac's two remaining sons, Atahualpa and Huascar, ignited a civil war to fight for the throne. <br>- By 1572, the Spanish had destroyed most of the Inca cities, and the Inca empire finally fell.<br>- In 1532, Atahualpa won, but immediately encountered the Spanish conquistadors. </div>]]></description>
