         <description><![CDATA[<div>In the book when Wade gets his bus ticket and his apartment, they scanned his retinal patterns as a security measure. It is something that already exsists on some level with smartphone fingerprint readers. However in the book it suggests all of this information is stored by the government where different people can access it to confirm that you are who you say who you are. On the surface this sounds good. But I believe it is very creepy and dangerous. If a hacker were to get your biometrics, it would be very bad. It is not like a password which you can just change at will. It also removes a level of anonymity that we have in the real world, giving hackers and big brother another way to track you.<br><br>Drew -Chapter 16 (Pages 163,165,166)</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Throughout these pages 192 and 198, Wade describes the technology he has and uses everyday for his OASIS life including: the haptic chair, Shaptic Bootsuit, visor, AboundSound audio system, etc. And his real life, including his shower, which does the whole process for him. And also Max, his system agent software that does whatever Wade commands him to do, such as boot up the OASIS or simply turn the lights on. <br>With all of the technological advances we see and the amount of time people spend on video games and social media everyday, I foresee all of these things happening in the future. It’s something fun and to the next level that architects and computer programmers would enjoy coming up with and evolving. <br><br></div>]]></description>

To me, I see this happening 100%. A lot of people sit at home all day on their at-home videotape consoles instead of going out and playing some of the most classic coin-operated games like they used to. Granted they do still exist in places like arcades, some restaurants, and even my dentist office. But kids would much rather be at home playing videogames all day instead. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>On page 300, Wade purchases a vest, pistol, three clips of ammo, and mace from a vending machine, and he paid with his hand. This way, his identity was verified and his criminal record was checked. I can see this being out future with all of the crime and technology we have nowadays. This way, it’s faster to pay and it’s made sure that you aren’t a criminal purchasing dangerous items.&nbsp;<br>On page 301, Wade holds the gun in each of his hands so it can scan his fingerprints. This way only he can use it. I could also see this happening, so no one who isn’t familiar with the gun can use is and if it’s stolen, it can’t be used.&nbsp;This also has to do with the amount of crime there has been recently. Extradorinary measures may be taken to try to reduce the amount of people being killed. </div>]]></description>

It would allow some of the group interaction of normal schools with the accessibility and convince of online schools. This would also help with the current problems of online college. I read on wired UK that the graduation rate for online college is about 5-10%.
