He suffered a massive heart event in January of 2019 and passed away. His son is now 25 and his daughter is 23. All of us each take turns wearing the Grinch sweatshirt each Christmas to keep him with us.

This sweater belonged to my beloved grandmother, Nannie. In my early teaching years, I would raid her closet for festive attire on spirit days, and she always had the best pieces to bring the fun. After she passed away, I was lucky enough to keep her collection of holiday sweaters, and I love to bring them out each year.

We meet up every year in Phillipsburg, NJ with extended family and friends for the train ride. Both Easton and Bethlehem have incredible Christmas markets tooπŸ›οΈ. Once on the train, they serve cookies and hot cocoa and Santa comes and gifts everyone a sleigh bell (even the adults). My girls who are now 12 and 10 still look forward to the train ride and say it's one of their favorite holiday traditions.πŸš‚πŸŽ…πŸŽ„
