Communicating style and conflict

Hippocrates believed that four separate bodily fluids impacted four different temperament types. Galen further expanded his work 500 years later. There are several self-assessment instruments available now that connect to Galen's basic descriptions. Individual learning styles, communication styles, conflict-handling methods, and other characteristics all contribute to depersonalizing conflict in interpersonal relationships. When you recognize that others aren't attempting to be difficult, but rather require different or more information than you, depersonalization develops. They don't mean to be rude; they're just so concentrated on their work that they forget to greet people. They want to work faster, but not at the expense of the relationships that are necessary to complete the job.
They are aware that they have a job to do. However, it can only be done properly with the right knowledge, which takes time to gather. Understanding communication styles can help teams overcome disagreement when applied correctly. True personality conflicts are quite rare. It's usually a matter of style, information requirements, or concentration.
There are four basic temperaments, according to Hippocrates and subsequently Galen: sanguine, phlegmatic, melancholy, and choleric.
The expressive or passionate communication style of the sanguine individual.
These individuals communicate through images. They communicate with a lot of emotion and intensity, and they speak quickly. Their high levels of energy can be overwhelming at times, and their emphasis is usually on the big picture, causing them to overlook details or the appropriate order of events. These individuals find disagreement or differences of opinion stimulating and enjoy a lively debate. They thrive on change and are always on the lookout for new and intriguing experiences.
Tile phlegmatic individual - calm and persistent This communication style emphasizes facts and technical information. Phlegmatic people approach things in a logical and organized manner, with the task taking precedence over people, emotions, or concerns that the activity may elicit. The facts should speak for themselves, and they don't like disagreement as much. They require time to adjust to change and must comprehend the logic as well as the processes involved.
A gloomy personality with a tender heart and a desire to help others leads to a compassionate or empathetic communication style. This type of communicator is concerned with people and relationships. They are good listeners who go out of their way to help others, often at the expense of their own needs. They believe that change threatens the status quo and causes others to feel unsettled, thus people with this communication style, like phlegmatic people, want time to ponder and adapt to changes.
Because of their choleric temperament, they come across as powerful and frightening to others. They usually look forward to being challenged. However, most other styles are hesitant to do so. Change excites them, and the more the better. The theme is communication and different types of people. The concept that we live in a society and that we must be able to communicate with others because we are all unique individuals. This is a skill that we must develop in order to be successful. We have the capacity to develop style flexibility. The more flexibility we have, the better we are at dealing with potential and actual problems. It usually has to be relevant to us in order for us to do so, either because we believe it is important or because our environment provides incentives to support it. The important thing is that we want to change our communication approach.

The secrets of persuations

We notice in the text's opening that there are a variety of approaches to either discover or obtain what you're looking for. However, we are told that in order to obtain that something, we must go through a lengthy process that reveals how our society operates.
We are introduced to Robert Cialdini, a psychologist who conducted research to discover if people under duress would agree to say yes. The issue here is that his own research could be used against him, as his first book, Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion, was a national success in 1984. He told how his investigation began: he had never understood how he could be so easily manipulated by a salesperson or a charity, and how they managed to get him to do what they wanted.
He enrolled himself in various sales programs and learnt various ways to sell items as part of one of these sociological experiments. Following this, he discovered six principles of influence, one of which he used at a hotel. We are all aware that most of the hotels we visit have a sign near the towels advising us to reuse them for environmental reasons. He modified the message to a straightforward statement, and the results were as follows: 26% of guests who received the straightforward message were more likely to reuse their towels. In one of his earlier writings, he cites the notion of social proof, stating that we are influenced by other people's perceptions of what is correct.
Another experiment was carried out in a restaurant examining server tips and how they are related to supplying chocolate. If a waiter provides chocolate with the bill, the tip increases to 3%, but if the chocolate is presented after the main meals and to everyone at the table, the tip increases to 14%. In the real world, this is the reciprocity principle. However, if the same approach utilized in the United States were followed in New Zealand, consumers would demand more chocolate. However, the principle of being unique to the client you are serving will be rewarded with a long-term customer.
The five persuasive principles are:
Reciprocity means that you will get back exactly what you have given.
Expertise in a specific domain — this might help build trust.
Commitment/consistency - When you are constant in what you provide, people have more faith in what you are providing.
Linking — as little as there is, we are drawn to commonalities.
Social evidence — if the majority of people are doing something, we want to be like them.

A tale of two worlds

These fragments depict how the pandemic affected the global population, with the wealthy minority becoming wealthier and the impoverished population becoming further destitute.
Text A tells us the more interesting side of the tale, in which we witness an increase in the number of billionaires, with 31 people adding to the list between 2017 and 2020. And, according to the Forbes list, there will be 2668 billionaires in 2022, a huge difference of 479 persons in just two years. But, returning to our article, we can see that in the tech industry, people made a lot of money since, with no place to go, we spent our days on social media and streaming services. As a result, companies like Amazon and Netflix saw their stock rise dramatically, even increasing their pricing by a few dollars. As far as we saw in the press, the healthcare business suffered a toll, but that was about public services; private companies stood to benefit a lot from it. Since the epidemic began, companies like Pfizer have seen their stock market value double, and the charts show that this trend will continue. But, in the end, they aided those in need by providing $7.2 trillion in aid, with former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey being one of the first to donate. For those who were badly affected by the pandemic, Bill and Melinda Gates established a new charity foundation.
On the other hand, we have the pandemic's most serious drawback: numerous people were laid off due to a lack of cash to keep them employed, as businesses were already operating at a reduced rate. This phenomena was dubbed extreme poverty, and it has been in effect and documented since the 1990s, with poverty rising at a rate of 1% each year. The World Bank set a goal of reducing poverty to 3% by 2030, but these targets are currently unattainable because to the epidemic and the war between Russia and Ukraine, which is hurting the entire European continent. The total amount of financing needed to combat the COVID-19 pandemic has risen to $160 billion, which is still a significant sum even for the World Bank to handle. The CEO of JP Morgan, the largest American bank, stated that this epidemic should serve as a wake-up call to the current situation of the people.
Finally, we must consider the various effects that a worldwide crisis may have on our population, and remember that, as the old saying goes, the rich get richer while the poor become poorer.

The Pandora papers

This text provides several people's perspectives on the Pandora papers—but what really are these papers? After doing some investigation, I discovered that the Pandora files are leaked documents from 2021 regarding the world's elite, and that the majority of them portray the world's most powerful people in a negative light.
The first viewpoint we hear comes from a mechanic named John Stanton, who outlined his family circumstances and how, despite his problems, he manages to pay his taxes. He, like everyone else, listens to the news and learns that it is the issue of the 'ordinary folk,' who, although having a lot on their plates, manage to provide for the government in which they live, and these people are revolted that their rulers do not follow the ideals they established. John, for example, cites the King of Jordan, who was involved in real estate with a shady company and never paid taxes for working or purchasing property in another country.
Jane Bisby, a political scientist, provides the second viewpoint. She emphasizes to us that none of us are startled by the corruption among the upper ranks, and that we regard this as an everyday occurrence. She cautions us, though, not to jump to conclusions, because even the world's elite, at least the majority of them, rose through the ranks by following the rules. She has the patients to tell us that we should wait and do more investigation on this matter because they are innocent unless proven guilty.
Chris Kleiner, a small business owner, provides the third perspective, and in a way, she defends those who are being tried. The tax system is to blame, because not every business can grow from a small start-up to a large corporation without paying taxes, which take a significant portion of the profit. She tells us what kinds of taxes they currently pay to the government, and she's outraged that the wealthy dodged paying $18 million in taxes alone, and she doesn't see why they have to spend this much for a home.
Clara Lopez, a journalist, is the last person to offer an opinion. Her take on the situation is that people should be held accountable for the crimes they do, and theft is a little term to express it. She demonstrates that the journalists' investigation of this matter and analysis of hundreds of papers to discover answers to all the monies that may be utilized to make the world a better place took a significant amount of time and work. For a project of this magnitude, international cooperation between ordinary journalists represents a significant effort and collaboration, as well as hope and change for a world free of crime.
Finally, despite differing viewpoints, we can see why people are dissatisfied with their leaders' attempts to circumvent the rules that they are implementing on their people. Nonetheless, these views are vastly different, demonstrating that your financial circumstances can influence how you regard the people you pick to reign over you.
