         <title>Jay Cooke</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Jay Cooke was born on August 10, 1821.&nbsp; In 1861, he opened his own banking corporation in Philadelphia.&nbsp; In 1870, Cooke's business obtained the right to finance the construction of the Northern Pacific Railroad, however, they failed at the approach due to the financial crisis of 1873.&nbsp; In the year of 1880, he had become wealthy again because he had discharged all his obligations.          <title>William A. Clark</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>William Andrews Clark was born on January 8, 1939 near Connelsville, Pennsylvania.  In 1863, he left Colorado for Montana.  He was able to extract 1500 dollars worth of gold which was the source of his riches.  He headquartered his company within the mining town of Butte in 1872.  A significant aspect of Clark's business techniques was his refusal to become deeply involved in any sort of commercial enterprise unless it was his own.          <title>John Warne Gates</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>John Warne Gates was born on May 8, 1855 in Illinois. He was a steel magnate and American financier who had invested 8,000 dollars in a barbed-wire plant into the American Steel &amp; Wire Company. He later became a traveling barbed-wire salesman after his dissatisfaction with his partnership with a country hardware store.&nbsp; He sold many barbed-wire because he told the doubting cattlemen to try out the product on the fences that enclose their animals.&nbsp; His stunt became a success and sold hundred of miles of wire.&nbsp; With all of his sales in barbed-wire, he and his partner opened up their own plant.&nbsp; He finally died on August 9, 1911 in Paris, France.<br><br>Source: <a href="https://www.britannica.com/biography/John-Warne-Gates">https://www.britannica.com/biography/John-Warne-Gates</a></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Leland Stanford was born on March 9, 1824 in Watervliet, New York.&nbsp; He was one of the first builders for the first U.S. transcontinental railroad.&nbsp; He heavily invested in the idea of building a transcontinental railroad which caused him to organize the Central Pacific Railroad in 1861.&nbsp; He built massive railroads that went eastward to join the Union Pacific at Promontory, Utah.&nbsp; Before his death on June 21, 1893, he served as in the U.S. Senate.<br><br>Source: <a href="https://www.britannica.com/biography/Leland-Stanford">https://www.britannica.com/biography/Leland-Stanford</a></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Henry B. Plant was born on October 27, 1819 in Bradford, Connecticut.&nbsp; He began in professional life at the age of 18.&nbsp; He worked as a captain's boy for the company called New Haven Steamboat Company.&nbsp; This company ran between New York and New Haven.&nbsp; In 1882, he formed his own railroad company called the Plant Investment Company stationed in Sanford, Florida.&nbsp; His system provided easy and safe travel for goods within the state.&nbsp; He finally died on June 23, 1899.<br><br>Source: <a href="http://hbp.sunstyledesign.com/?page_id=169">http://hbp.sunstyledesign.com/?page_id=169</a></div>]]></description>
