Franchising: This is a common type of business and it means that you buy the intangible property of and already stablished business, but unlike licensing, it’s a long term commitment and you have to follow the existing rules and working procedures. For example, Little Caesar’s which is a business model for fast food, specifically pizza, and you can buy the franchise but you can’t make modifications to any of the bases that make the brand recognizable and the rules they apply. 

5. Joint Ventures: It means that two or more companies agree to collaborate and create a new business which will use both of the knowledge of the companies to serve the purpose it was intended for. This can be exemplified by Caradigm, which is a new healthcare company created by Microsoft and General Electrics, and it’s supposed to combine Microsoft’s expertise with enterprise-grade data platforms, and GE experience with industrial data and applications. 
6. Wholly Owned Subsidiary: It means that the company is sometime of branch of a bigger company, and this one owns all the shares of the little one. Exemplified by Marvel Studios which is an already big corporation but it’s owned by Walt Disney Entertainments.
